I really like the features of Comm32, but it's really slow in my Excel/VBA. My program reads and displays 18 oxygen sensor outputs. With MSComm32, it takes about 3/4 second to read and display all sensor outputs, while Comm32 and ActiveComPort take about 3 seconds. Is there a way to speed it up? Use compiled VB code instead of VBA?
Thanks.

See the property .ParallelEnable

Try setting that to false.

Also check the version - make sure you have the most recent version. (See the downloads page on the comm32.com website

I have a similar problem. Tried both suggestions listed, no help. Running a vb app. at a baud rate of 115200. Using a timer set for 5 msec. MSComm32 is able to keep up, but Comm32 can't. About twice as slow. Any other suggestions?

You asked the same question by email.

The first poster never came back so we have no idea what his problem was.

But you contacted us by email so I hope we can get to the bottom of it and have an update released if we find a problem.
