I really like the features of Comm32, but it's really slow in my Excel/VBA. My program reads and displays 18 oxygen sensor outputs. With MSComm32, it takes about 3/4 second to read and display all sensor outputs, while Comm32 and ActiveComPort take about 3 seconds. Is there a way to speed it up? Use compiled VB code instead of VBA?
Thanks. |

See the property .ParallelEnable
Try setting that to false.
Also check the version - make sure you have the most recent version. (See the downloads page on the comm32.com website |

I have a similar problem. Tried both suggestions listed, no help. Running a vb app. at a baud rate of 115200. Using a timer set for 5 msec. MSComm32 is able to keep up, but Comm32 can't. About twice as slow. Any other suggestions? |

You asked the same question by email.
The first poster never came back so we have no idea what his problem was.
But you contacted us by email so I hope we can get to the bottom of it and have an update released if we find a problem.
